Raimond van Wijk

Monique invited Raimond for an interview five years ago, after he had submitted an open application. The conversation was very pleasant and both parties were pleased. A week later, he was driving around for TFD. Raimond van Wijk was raised in the world of floors, where his father had been active for many years. He started out as an upholsterer a long time ago, which means Raimond has gained a lot of experience on the work floor. And this experience still serves him in good stead every day.

But Raimond also has another great passion besides his job: music. He has played bass guitar in a rock band for over 25 years and also lives to visit concerts and festivals. “Playing music allows you to be creative, while playing in a band means you have to be part of a team. I can also put these skills to good use at TFD, because we encounter various situations where creativity is needed to offer customers the best possible service or advice. And cooperation is also very important. We all need one another if we want to achieve the best results.”

Raimond feels at home at TFD because of the informal atmosphere: “TFD is a real family business, where every colleague is appreciated and where we can share our joys and sorrows. You are given the freedom and opportunities needed to work together and be successful in what you do.”

Raimond is not only creative and musical, but he also has a lot of practical knowledge. Furthermore, he is also a very useful handyman. For instance, he built a veranda at his home and also makes his own bass guitars.
