Meet Monique

TFD Floortile is a real family business, founded more than 25 years ago by Rob and Monique Toonen. With their combined experience of no less than 50 years in the flooring industry, they know better than anyone what customers need: a decorative design, high quality and practical convenience. The creativity they have to come up with solutions to make furnishings even more beautiful and practical is a form of creation. Together, Rob and Monique have no less than 50 years of knowledge and craftsmanship and that is reflected in everything.

Rob and Monique have worked with nature as a basis for all years. They have always surrounded themselves by an oasis of greenery and many animals such as dogs, cats, pigs and horses. Monique has rescued many of their animals from distressing situations. She brings them from all over the world and rescues these often abused animals and offers them a better life in their homes. “I find peace with the animals; they are very pure and honest. This inspires me and keeps me down to earth. With nature as a basis, you can work from your feelings,” says Monique.

This natural inspiration is also clearly visible in the TFD Experience Center in Dalfsen. The latest collections from TFD Floortile are beautifully presented here, with the influence of nature visible everywhere.

Monique’s favorite floor is the Hungarian Point 1618. The zigzag pattern of the Hungarian Point 1618 brings visual dynamics to the optical experience of the floor. The Hungarian point is originally a classic laying pattern that is now completely current again. This classic with a modern twist fits well in a sleek and modern interior.
