Meet Leo Toonen

Leo Toonen, as Rob’s brother, is literally part of the TFD Floortile family. Although he had already built a substantial career before joining TFD Floortile, having worked for over 25 years in the metal industry where he gained extensive warehouse experience, first as an employee and later as a supervisor.

At the age of 45, Leo embarked on a new adventure with TFD Floortile. He has been with the company from the very beginning, initially working on the floor as an installer. However, as TFD began to grow, his role shifted increasingly towards the warehouse. In the new facility, Leo set up the entire distribution center over 10 years ago, and he still manages it with great pleasure.

Leo appreciates the freedom and trust he receives from Rob and Monique: “I can basically do whatever I want and am free to come and go as I please. I can put a lot of myself into my work. I find order, cleanliness, and being proactive very enjoyable and important.”

When Leo is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. He has recently become a grandfather, and he finds that absolutely wonderful!

Daily, many items from the TFD Floortile collection pass through Leo’s hands. The Firm collection remains his favorite. The collection features a sturdy, robust appearance that reflects the outdoors. The clear pattern and embossing of the floor give it a realistic character.
