Meet Raimond van Wijk

Five years ago, Raimond was invited by Monique for an introductory meeting after he submitted an unsolicited application. The conversation felt like a warm welcome, and there was a mutual connection, so a week later Raimond was already driving around for TFD Floortile.

Raimond van Wijk grew up in the flooring industry, where his father had been active for many years. Like many others, Raimond started as an upholsterer, gaining a wealth of knowledge on the job. He still enjoys and benefits from this experience every day.

In addition to his passion for the field, Raimond has another great love: music. He has been playing bass guitar in a rock band for over 25 years and also enjoys attending concerts and festivals. “Making music is creatively fulfilling, and playing in a band is a team sport. I can apply this to TFD Floortile because we deal with various situations that require creativity to serve or advise our clients as best as possible. Collaboration is also crucial. We all need each other to achieve the best results.”

Raimond feels at home at TFD Floortile due to the informal atmosphere: “TFD is a true family business where every colleague is valued, and where we can laugh and cry together. You are given all the freedom and opportunities to make the work a success together.”

Not only is Raimond creative, musical, and knowledgeable, but he is also quite handy. He is building a veranda for his house and even makes his own bass guitars.

His favorite collection is the Experience collection. Among them, the Experience 3 stands out for Raimond. The lived-in character of the Experience collection tells a story. The design of these planks gives the impression that they have a long history. Raimond loves the distinctive character and rugged appearance of this floor.
